Project overview

A freelance business development and coordination engagement between August 2023 and March 2024 for an IT-services and software business. The remit was to assist connections between UK commercial opportunities and India-based project delivery capabilities.

The business challenge

A software delivery team can have technical capabilities but still need introductions, context and structured conversations to understand what potential clients require in a different market. The assignment centred on developing these bridges, rather than delivering software engineering work.

My role & scope

Freelance support focused on relationship-building, UK client introductions, opportunity discovery and coordination with India-based digital delivery resources. This was not a sales-director role and does not imply exclusive ownership of contracts or downstream revenue.

How the work was approached

01 / Identify relevant opportunities

Explored potential UK business connections where technology or digital services could be useful.

02 / Build introductions

Supported early conversations and professional networking between possible clients and the delivery business.

03 / Clarify project needs

Helped communicate prospective service requirements and connect discussions with appropriate India-based expertise.

04 / Support coordination

Shared practical guidance on follow-ups, relationship maintenance and cross-border communication.
